FonGenie features update – call interaction tabs
The recent FonGenie updates go beyond general look and feel of the FonGenie website. As a FonGenie user you have already seen the changes to your account interface and possibly have already begun to explore the new and improved functionality that is now available to you.
Here are some of the items you will find when you log into your account:
Greetings & Menu
Immediately you will see that the “Basic” and “Advanced” menus have been replaced with single “Greetings & Menu” tab. The default view displays 3 menus; however, there are now a total of 5 menus available (more to be added soon) that you can use to greet your callers. These other menus are hidden until you need to add more by clicking on the “add a new menu” button. This removes the confusion from having two separate tabs. The “operator support” is still available for you to enable on this single page.
Voicemail
You can now choose to receive email notification when someone leaves a message in your FonGenie Voicemail. This will be very helpful to you if you are not constantly monitoring calls that are coming into your FonGenie account. If you do not wish to receive the notification you will need to uncheck “Send me an email for voicemail notifications” box in your “Account Information” communication preferences for future notifications.
Additionally, if you want to download a voicemail to your computer you can now do this. Just select the “download” action to the right of the message. Your file will be saved by default as a .wav file and will be named with the date and time of the message.
Last but not least, an improved speech engine and a new voice have been added to FonGenie. This clear new voice, Female Voice2, gives FonGenie users the option to select between one male voice and two female voices. These different voices can now be enabled separately between the greeting & menu; business hours; and voicemail sections.
- A less confusing Greeting & Menu interface will promote your ready interaction with FonGenie. This will lead to better sales and information to your callers.
- You will never miss a voicemail message because you didn’t log into your FonGenie account to check to see if you have any messages
