Upcoming changes for FonGenie customers

November 29th, 2010

In the previous FonGenie blog post on 11/26/2010, we announced updates to the site with a fresh new look and feel in preparation for the upcoming improvements and changes to the service.

For existing FonGenie customers, dramatic changes will be noticed over the up-coming weekend as you log into your account. A new complete makeover has been applied to the user interface along with the expanded reporting and analytics capabilities. Most of these improvements will be available to you immediately when changes take effect, while some are being incrementally added.

Besides the improved looks and easy to use interface, how does that impact existing customers?

Existing customers will not be negatively impacted. To be clear, there won’t be any service interruption or data and record loss. Key changes and improvements are related to the quality of the speech along with a newly added female voice to greet your callers and customers. Also, you should expect to see tons of pre-formatted reports, analytics, benchmarks and trending information to run your business smarter.

Changes to the FonGenie account console
The completely redesigned user interface is now a lot easier to use and understand. As mentioned above, beyond the new look and feel; the big additions were made to the reports section.

The improved reports takes you way beyond just knowing who called, how often they called, where they are from, and why/what they wanted. This section now gives you extended tools that easily show comparisons of data that give the past performance of business calls and compares that information to similar, and competitive, businesses to build trending and forecasting reports. You can now make an “apples to apples” comparison in real time about how your business stacks up against the competition and anticipate trends that you can use to make intelligent sales, marketing and operating decisions.

Additionally, you have real-time graphing to monitor the success of your campaigns for daily specials, promotions and coupons offered to your callers.

Please expect to see a dedicated and detailed post in the near future regarding the all-new reporting capabilities.

Addition to the FonGenie service
FonGenie is not just about giving you a great virtual receptionist, auto attendant and sales representative, but also provides a bundled 2 line business-class telephone services at no cost through the FonGenie network appliance.

The simple plug-and-play device or network appliance makes it easy to add additional telephone lines. By connecting the appliance to your broadband Internet, you will also have an “always on” solution that will greet your callers, up-sell your products and services, and give you the ability to make and receive unlimited telephone calls using your existing and current telephone handset, all while saving you money.

This new feature with the use of the appliance has just entered a private market trial and is available to invited business owners only at this time. We understand that this feature will be an interest to those small business owners currently operating their business with a single telephone line or trying to run their business on a cell phone. This is definitely a more affordable and simpler solution when needing to add a second or third line as there is no cost or extra charges.

In the very near term, all new and existing customers will have access to the improved FonGenie and its network appliance for a small fee or FREE for a plug-and-play operation. Simply plugging the FonGenie appliance to their high-speed Internet, business owners can easily connect a virtual receptionist, an auto attendant, sales representative and a 2-line business telephone service to make and receive unlimited telephone calls for only $49.99 or $149.99 per month.

Please contact a FonGenie representative if you have any question or would like to be considered for the private market trial.
